Longevity Resolutions, Gift Health, Gratitude

Hi, longevity enthusiast!

Welcome to all new subscribers!

In this issue I’m talking about:

  1. Longevity Resolutions

  2. Gift Health

  3. Gratitude

1. Longevity resolutions: is it finally time to prioritise your health?

Me at a longevity clinic doing a VO2 Max test earlier this year

As we enter the festive season, I challenge you to prioritise your health and longevity.

You might compromise it with your family and friends, thinking it’s okay to have that dairy dessert or glass of wine because you’re celebrating with loved ones.

But what you’re actually doing is poisoning yourself with pro-inflammator and ethanol, shortening both your life- and healthspan.

I don’t think your family and friends would be happy if you had to leave this life too soon...

We’re spoiled for choice, and it’s not hard to find healthy alternatives.

Here’s my favourite dairy-free summer dessert:
Sliced pineapple with a scoop of dairy-free mango ice cream (Coyo).

Replace your alcoholic drink with this:
A shot of freshly squeezed pomegranate juice mixed with sparkling water and ice.

No poison, only healthy goodness like Urolithin-A—a compound produced in the gut when certain polyphenols (found in foods like pomegranates, strawberries, raspberries, and nuts) are metabolised by gut bacteria.

Potential Health Benefits

  • Anti-Aging
By enhancing mitochondrial function, Urolithin-A may slow down age-related decline in cellular energy production.

  • Muscle Health
Studies suggest it may improve muscle strength and endurance.

  • Anti-Inflammatory Properties
It has been shown to reduce inflammation, which plays a role in various chronic diseases.

  • Neuroprotection
Early research indicates potential benefits for brain health, potentially protecting against neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's.

2. Gift Health

Next year, no matter the occasion, give the gift of health. Here are some gift ideas for 2025:

A quick thanks to the sponsor of the presents at the EOY Long Lunch: Healthspan supplements by STMNA Bioactives.

3. Gratitude

I’d like to thank everyone who subscribed to the Lumen Longevity Newsletter,

attended and participated in the longevity panels in Sydney…

and in Brisbane,

and joined the EOY Long Lunch this year!

We’re forming an incredible community of people eager to live long, vital lives and fuel the progress of longevity.

Next year, you’ll see me bringing the longevity revolution to conferences, universities, and the farthest corners of Australia.

Together, we will redefine what’s possible and set a new standard for living longer, healthier lives.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Now I’m off to a long-awaited break!

Be healthy, live long
